Awesome Experience!! The 4-day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu in June was truly the experience of a lifetime! I chose this hike to commemorate my 65th birthday. It definitely did that!! Every day was filled with breathtaking scenery, fascinating history, and unforgettable moments. A huge thank you to our incredible guides, Yaritza and Zoraida. Yaritza was an exceptional lead guide—knowledgeable, encouraging, organized, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the Andes. Zoraida was equally wonderful, always positive, attentive, and making sure every member of our group felt supported throughout the trek. Together, they created an experience that was both inspiring and fun. Special recognition also goes to our amazing chef, Modesto. It was hard to believe the delicious, beautifully prepared meals he created on the mountainside each day! Every meal exceeded our expectations and kept us energized for the hike. I also want to express our deepest appreciation to the incredible team of porters, especially Narcisto, the lead porter. Their strength, hard work, kindness, and constant smiles were truly humbling. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make our journey comfortable and memorable, and we are so grateful for everything they did. The Inca Trail itself is challenging, but every step is worth it. The stunning mountain views, ancient Incan ruins, cloud forests, and finally arriving at the Sun Gate to see Machu Picchu for the first time made this an unforgettable adventure. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a magical experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to guide us on this incredible journey. I highly recommend this trek to anyone looking for an adventure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives!

Peruvian Natural Salt Education Amazing experience. I learned so much about this community and their process in salt making, which I always thought came from the oceans and seas! Alejandro was a gracious and patient host instructing us on how to shape the salt. Then offering us tastings of the different salts. I can’t wait to try the smoked one back home on everything!

4 Day Hiking Trip to Machu Picchu Our Crossover Peru 4 day hiking trip on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was so challenging, rewarding, and amazing, I really don't have the words to describe this experience - the Inca Trail is truly a humbling, awe-inspring place. Our trek would not have been the same, though, without the whole team of people helping us. First, our wonderful guides, Yaritza and Zoraida, were kind, encouraging, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. With their expert leadership and guidance I learned so much about this amazing place (and about myself) as we made our way along the trail. If I would have had to carry all of my gear, I don't think I would have made it, but Narciso's team of porters took on most of that burdon. They were friendly, efficient, and inspiring as they were some of the most amazing hikers I have ever seen, making it look almost easy to carry all of the gear, encouraging us along as they passed us on the trail, setting up (and taking down) the whole camp, and welcoming us when we arrived each day. And the chef -- the food was wonderul! But, also, I have celiac disease and was concerned about the food situation before I left. I shouldn't have worried - Modesto took care of me making most foods gluten free for everyone and providing substitutes that were as delicious as the dishes they were replacing when necessary. I would recommend Crossover Peru and 57 Hours as excellent travel operators for any trip you would want to take, and if you are lucky enough to get our specific team your trip will be outstanding.

Challenging Trek The best experience one could have on the Inca Trail. I will attribute it to our great team! Yaritza was the best guide, going out of her way to do all the little things to make the experience fabulous! Encouraging us the entire way that we almost forgot about the high altitude, steep staircases, impossible descents, and legs that felt like jelly after hiking for 10 hours each day! I believe Yaritza is the best guide on the trail! Zoraida was our other fearless leader, making our pack of 11 women unstoppable! Our chef was amazing! Modesto prepared gourmet meals for us three times a day! Even baking a cake our last dinner together in the Andes Mountains. I can’t say enough about the wonderful food! Every meal was 5 ⭐️’s Probably the most astonishing was our team of porters lead by Narciso. It is mind-boggling the way these guys carry all our equipment throughout the trail. While I’m struggling just to walk with a daypack these guys are literally running on the trail with 45 lb packs. This experience was made great by this outstanding team!

Pilgrimage to Machu Picchu I am really late posting this review - better late than never. We booked through 57 hrs and could not have been happier with Crossover Peru. Our guide Yaritza and the rest of our crew were fantastic. Don’t get me wrong, this hike is hard, but having Yaritza to help us through the tough bits and the crew welcoming us in to breaks and camp with cheers and amazing food was perfect. Yaritza encouraged us to think of this walk as a pilgrimage and that’s what we did, making an offering at the end. We were so lucky for clear skies when we arrived at Machu Picchu! We added on Rainbow Mountain at the end which was also incredible. The tour is action packed without much downtime. The only thing I might have changed is to take a little more time outside of the tour to explore Cusco, which is a cool city. Overall, this was one of the most special experiences of my life. Highly recommended this walk and Crossover Peru.

Trip of a lifetime This experience far exceeded my expectations! Yaritza and Zoraida were very encouraging guides for our all women’s group. They anticipated our every need including breaks, water, sunscreen, and bug spray but most of all they knew how to motivate us and to give us confidence that we could complete the hike. As a chef Modesto prepared very delicious and nutritious food making accommodations for my vegan diet. He even baked a beautiful cake on our last evening. Narciso and his team of porters anticipated our every need and made trail life as easy as could be setting up our tents and carrying everything we needed to be comfortable with ease and encouragement! I would not change a thing about this trip which far exceeded my expectations! I am filled with gratitude for the entire support team!❤️❤️

Incredible Trekking Experience I had an absolutely incredible experience trekking with Crossover Peru. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully organized, and the team truly made the journey unforgettable. A huge shoutout to our guide, Juan Carlos, who was knowledgeable, encouraging, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and informed along the way. His passion for the region really brought the experience to life. The food was another highlight—Chef Modesto worked magic in the mountains! Every meal was fresh, delicious, and way beyond what I expected on a trek. It was something we all looked forward to each day. And of course, I can’t say enough about the dedication of the crew, especially our head porter, Narciso. His leadership, hard work, and positive energy kept everything running smoothly and made the trek feel seamless. If you're considering a trek in Peru, I highly recommend Crossover Peru. The people make all the difference, and this team truly went above and beyond to make our adventure special.
