Embark on a fascinating full-day adventure starting with an early 3:30 a.m. departure from your hotel, traveling through breathtaking Andean landscapes toward the province of Espinar. After a comforting breakfast, you will explore the impressive archaeological site of T’aqrachullo, an ancient Inca ceremonial and administrative center. During an easy-to-moderate 2 to 3-hour walk—covering 3 to 5 kilometers at a maximum altitude of 4,100 meters—your guide will lead you through historic plazas, residential compounds, agricultural terraces, and ancient storage structures. As you take in the panoramic mountain views, you will learn about the site’s strategic importance, the history of the local Cana people, and its vital connection to the Qhapaq Ñan. The experience is rounded off with a traditional box lunch amidst the serene high-altitude scenery before your return trip to Cusco.

03:30 AM – Hotel Pick-up & Departure: We start the day early with a pick-up from your hotel. You will travel in private transportation toward the province of Espinar, enjoying beautiful views of Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and high-altitude plains along the way.
Breakfast Stop: We will make a brief stop to enjoy a comforting breakfast and prepare for the day’s exploration.
Arrival & Introduction: Upon arriving at the site, your guide will provide an introduction to the history and significance of T’aqrachullo, a vital ceremonial and administrative center from the Inca period.
Archaeological Exploration: We will walk through the most important sectors of the complex. You will discover ceremonial plazas, residential compounds, agricultural terraces, qolqas (ancient storage structures), ancient pathways, and panoramic viewpoints. Your guide will explain the site’s strategic importance in the Inca Empire, as well as recent archaeological discoveries.
Traditional Lunch: You will enjoy a delicious box lunch in the area while admiring the surrounding mountain scenery.
Cultural Immersion: We will continue exploring the surroundings to learn about local traditions, the history of the native Cana people, and the important connection between T’aqrachullo and the Qhapaq Ñan (Inca Road Network).
Return to Cusco: After a full day of exploration, we will depart from T’aqrachullo and transfer you safely back to your hotel in Cusco.
