Summary

Day 1

CUSCO ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival at the Cusco airport, you will be picked up and transferred directly to your hotel. Later, you will enjoy a relaxed walking tour through Cusco Downtown, exploring the historic Main Square and its beautiful cobblestone streets, which provide a perfect opportunity to acclimatize to the high altitude.

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES

Your journey through the Sacred Valley starts with a stop at a scenic lookout point. You will then visit the famous Pisaq Market and the Pisaq Inca Archaeological site located on the mountaintop. After lunch in Urubamba, you will explore the ancient pathways of Ollantaytambo before catching the train to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay.

MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Dedicated entirely to the highlight of the trip, you will enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel to understand the history and customs of the Incas. There is also an optional, challenging hike to the top of Huayna Picchu for unparalleled panoramic views. Afterward, you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes and return by train to Cusco.

MARAS – MORAY – COOKING CLASS IN CUSCO

You will discover the unique beauty of the Maras salt mines, where salt water has evaporated since ancient times. Following this, you will visit the open-air crop laboratory of Moray, consisting of three coliseums used by the Incas to study climatic conditions. Finally, you will return to Cusco to participate in an authentic Peruvian cuisine workshop to prepare Lomo Saltado and Pisco Sour.

CUSCO – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – CUSCO

An early morning departure takes you to the trailhead for a rewarding hike with consistent views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain. After a 2.5-hour trek, you will reach the stunning Rainbow Mountain at an elevation of 5,020 meters. You will have time to explore the breathtaking landscape before hiking back down to enjoy lunch and return to Cusco.
