Overview
Andean landscapes to discover the perfect blend of vibrant culture and natural wonder. On Paucartambo just as the legendary Virgen del Carmen festival reaches its spectacular peak. Here, you will be immersed in traditional Andean culture, exploring the historic Temple of the Virgen del Carmen and the iconic King Charles III bridge, while witnessing over 15 mesmerizing traditional dances. As night falls, the journey continues to the edge of the Manu National Park at Tres Cruces, renowned for hosting one of the most spectacular sunrises on Earth. As dawn breaks, you will witness the legendary “double sunrise”—a glowing 20-minute false sunrise over the lush jungle, followed by the sun revealing itself in a brilliant 10-minute display of yellow and orange hues. If you travel near the winter solstice, you might even experience the mystical “White Ray,” a rare optical illusion creating three suns on the horizon Framed by the snow-capped Ausangate mountain range and the majestic Apuqañaqway peak—the ‘Protector of the Antisuyo’—this visual spectacle is truly unparalleled. After a breathtaking morning, we return to Paucartambo to join the vibrant afternoon procession of the Virgin, marveling at the impressive skills of the dancers before heading back to Cusco with memories that will last a lifetime.

CUSCO – NINANMARCA – PAUCARTAMBO
From Cusco, we made a stop in Ninanmarca and continued on our way to the charming town of Paucartambo, where we’ll spend the afternoon experiencing traditional culture and vibrant festivals.
On July 15th, we celebrate the festival of the Virgen del Carmen with fireworks, tradicional burning of castles and folk dances.
PAUCARTAMBO – TRES CRUCES VIEWPOINT – CUSCO
On the second day, we’ll visit the “Tres Cruces” viewpoint, leaving Paucartambo at 1:00 a.m. to arrive just in time for sunrise and enjoy the best views. We’ll return to Paucartambo to spend the rest of the day watching traditional dances in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, and at sunset, we’ll make a relaxing return to Cusco.
