Discover the Carañahui cave, Qeswachaka bridge, the beautiful Rainbow Mountain and enjoy visiting the Sacred Valley on the way to Machu Picchu. This rainbow-like appearance Mountain is created by the sediment of minerals throughout the area giving the mountain the turquoise, lavendar, gold and other colors.
It was only recently discovered due to the snow melting revealing the hidden gem that’s still considered holy by many until this day. Since its discovery, Rainbow Mountain as slowly started gaining popularity and has even been listed in National Geographic’s “Top 100 Places To Visit Before You Die”.

What to bring and advices
- It is really advisable and important that you arrive to Cusco at least 2 days prior the trek, in order to acclimatize to the altitude.
- Just in case, you can take personal medication for altitude sickness, you will find locally some drugstores at the main street Av El Sol or near to the main square of Cusco.
- Please make sure to inform us about your health/food/physical restrictions in advance so we can prepare them for you.
- In case you need to pay the remaining balance, it is advisable to take some cash. You can get some money from the ATM machines that are located in the center of the City of Cusco.
- Be always ready for rain and cold, take some rain poncho water proof clothes and warm clothes. Proper hiking boots.
- Insect repellent, some mosquitos are really annoyed specially at lower altitude, you will probably visit Machupicchu so this advice is for You.
- Original Passport is very important to enter to Machupicchu
- Extra money is advisable just in case to buy souvenirs or in case of emergency.
- Covid vaccination certificates required.

Itinerary
Pick up at the airport and then transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon you can have a walking tour exploring Cusco city. Walking tour: Places to see: Main Square, Cathedral, Sun temple, San blas neighborhood.

Early pick you up from your hotel in a private vehicle, we will drive for 4 hours south from Cusco crossing Pomacanchis Lake (3,600m). Then we will reach the Qeswachaka Bridge. This is the last used Inca bridge over the Apurimac River and the grass fibers of the bridge are renewed each year in an “annual construction of the bridge fiesta". After that we will move forward close to the entrance of the Qarañahui cave. After some view stops, we will set up the equipment to explore the cave for about an hour finding stalagmites and some stalactites in the galleries we visit.

Pick up Time from your Cusco hotel around 06:00 am and set out on a drive to the trailhead at Quesiuno (4,326 m / 14,189 ft) is 1:30 hours long. On the way we will provide you Breakfast We then start off on our hike, following a lovely stream. Literally herds of alpacas and llamas will immediately surprise you. We will have consistent views of the Ausangate Mountain. We will hike through villages and interact with the local residents. We will stop for our box lunch along the trail. Back on the trail, we encounter more of the traditional elements of this trek. This includes potato fields and unique fauna. We have the prospect of seeing chinchillas and vicunas. Vicunas are the only non-domesticated animal of the llama family in Peru. Many red mountains are also a highlight of this portion of the hike. After a total hike of approximately 4 hours, we finally reach our destination, what we came to see the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). After getting over the shock of their beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You will have time to take pictures and soak in the environment. We will spend approximately 30 minutes at the top. At this point, it is time to go back down. We hike downhill the way we came. The hike will take 3 to 4 hours. Our private van will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco.

Begin your journey through the land of the Incas with a full day Sacred Valley tour, just outside of Cusco, is a gorgeous sprawling span of green farms, lofty terraced mountains and contains numerous quaint towns unmoved by time, in addition to lively festivals and the best handicrafts in Peru. The first stop is the artisanal capital of Peru, the small village of Pisac. It is famous for its craft market in the main plaza, where locals come to sell their colorful woven cloth, alpaca wool, reproductions of ancient jewelry, engraved gourds and much, much more. After a delicious lunch in Urubamba, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that remains inhabited. It is a wonderful example of pre-Colombian architecture, and here you will explore the expansive ruins overlooking the town. After the visit of Ollantaytambo, you will go to the train station to go on the journey to Aguas Calientes where you will have the overnight before you visit one of the new wonders of the world.

Today is the highlight of any trip to South America – Machu Picchu! This world-famous site is easily the most remarkable pre-Colombian city in the world, partially because of its mystical beauty at its lofty place among the Andean cloud forest. A guided tour will help you discover and understand what Machu Picchu tells us about the life and customs of the Incan people. Surrounded by dramatic terraces cut into the mountain sides, your guide will give you a thorough history of the ruins and the Incas as well as share with you the possible explanations for the purpose of Machu Picchu. You have the optional opportunity to take the challenging, unguided hike to the top of Wayna Picchu, where you will have the best view of the site. This hike is highly recommended for people who are in the right physical condition, as it truly gives unparalleled views of Machu Picchu. After a long day of exploring this lost city, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival to Cusco you will be brought back to your hotel for a good night’s rest.
