Overview
This journey goes to Puno, the folkloric capital of Peru, we will explore what wonders this city has to offer along with a visit to the world famous Lake Titicaca, home to more than 65 floating islands! The most famous ones being: Uros, Amantani and Taquile, each different and unique in their customs and traditions! Come explore and learn about the pre -Incan cultures that still exist today! Nearing its 43rd anniversary as a natural area protected by the State, the Lake Titicaca National Reserve conserves great biodiversity, supports the socioeconomic development of the Puno region, and maintains the cultural traditions of the communities that live near the highest lake in the world. Today, many of its inhabitants are dedicated to tourism and the handicrafts business, activities to which they have added traditional fishing and hunting, thus preserving their ancestral link with the natural resources that the lake provides, making this area one of the most important tourism potentials of the reserve.
